Other discoveries
We love the Chablais vaudois for its terroir: the purity of its salt, the diversity of its wines and beers, the delicacy of its fruits, the character of its cheeses and charcuterie.
But we also love it for the diversity of its landscapes and all the activities that go with it.
Whether you come to the region in summer or winter, you will not have time to get bored.
The Chablais on foot and by bike
The changing landscapes of the region are best discovered on foot or by bike. That’s why Alpes Vaudoises has put together all the cycling and hiking itineraries, in the plains and at high altitude. Warm up those legs and get ready to discover the Chablais!
Sports Oasis
Whatever the season, the Vaud Alps are ideal for all sports.
In summer, many activities await mountain lovers: hiking, mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata. And for those who prefer water to rock, no need to panic. Kayaking, rafting, canyoning or fishing are also on the menu.
In winter, trade your caps for hats and your shorts for sweaters. The activities are not to be outdone! Fatbike, ice diving, ice climbing, ice rink, dog sledding or paragliding will spice up your stay.
A little culture
If you prefer culture to sport, the Chablais has plenty to offer. There are several museums and exhibitions in the region, where you can discover the history of the Vaud Alps and its inhabitants, the local gastronomy or even vintage cars.
And we should not forget to visit the prestigious castles that tower over the region: the Château d’Aigle and the Château de la Roche.
Time for yourself
Vacations are also privileged moments to take care of yourself. Located in the heart of the Chablais Vaudois, the thermal baths of Lavey, the Baths of Villars and the many massages and treatments offered there will allow you to recharge your batteries. Sometimes it’s OK to put yourself first.
